Images of South ChinaHong Kong Chinese Orchestra

The HKCO has invited Zhang Lie, Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Guangdong National Orchestra of China, to recreate the all-embracing, innovative and inclusive musical traditions of South China. He will conduct a concert covering the three main musical genres of the region – Cantonese, Chiuchow (Chaozhou) and Han – and show us how South China folk music is evergreen because of its vitality to renew itself.
