Overview

A group of student curators from the BA programme in Cultural Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) are thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition titled "The Believers: Supernatural, Myths, and Beyond." This exhibition, supervised by Isaac Leung, will take place from 3rd to 12th March 2024 at Eaton HK. The exhibition opening ceremony will be held on 3rd March 2024 at 3:00 PM at 1/F Kino Cinema in Eaton HK.

As technology continues to advance and society becomes increasingly driven by it, there are still phenomena in the world that cannot be explained by science - the supernatural. Supernatural forces have been influencing our world for a long time, and the reasons and development behind them are intriguing. The exhibition aims to delve into the enigmatic theme of belief, rituals, and the science behind the supernatural, exploring how these elements shape our perceived reality. By challenging traditional notions and questioning established narratives, "The Believers" invites visitors to embark on a thought-provoking journey through various artistic expressions. Collaborated with Eaton HK, the exhibition also aspires to break away from traditional exhibition formats and showcase innovative experiences within a hotel setting. Going beyond the typical exhibition setup by utilizing the hotel's spaces and amenities, the exhibition provides the audience a dynamic and interactive environment.

The exhibition lineup features a diverse group of talented artists: Tiffany Chan, Yin-Ju Chen, David Clarke, Ho Sin Tung, South Ho Siu Nam, Fion Hung Ching-Yan, Tiger Ji, Ariel Lau, Lola Law, Hou Lam Tsui, Wong Pui Hei Angela, Yau Kwok Keung and Sherman Yeung. Their works offer intriguing perspectives and thought-provoking interpretations of the supernatural. Each artist brings a unique approach to understanding the supernatural. Through their art, the audience is invited to reconsider our understanding of the supernatural, opening doors to new realms of thought and exploration.

Join us from 3rd to 12th March 2024 at Eaton HK, for "The Believers: Supernatural, Myths, and Beyond." Experience the power of art to transcend boundaries and challenge our understanding of the world around us.
