Ioku Ero Nikaido

Born in 90s, Ero is a otaku Butoh artist with special interest in Yaoi culture, bizarre and erotic theme. He is also the Joint Art Director of a recently-founded art group "Normaphobia". He started involving in public performances from 13, but has never taken any formal art training. In 2011, Ero was introduced to Butoh when he joined a workshop and performance organized by local Butoh artist Vinci Mok, and from that year on, he kept learning through workshops conducted by Butoh artists Yumiko Yoshioka, Yukio Waguri, Katsura Kan, Yuko Kawamoto, Kae Ishimoto, and Furaku artist Tanaka Toshi, whose styles differ quite a lot from each other. In 2013, Ero joined a short-term intensive workshop "Body Resonance" in Schloss Bröllin, Germany, organized by in-house art group "TEN PEN CHii art labor". He focuses in Butoh after he went back to Hong Kong, and is currently also interested in performance art and physical theatre.
