Szeto Chun Yeung

Szeto Chun-yeung graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong with Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in 2006 and Hong Kong Baptist University with Master of Arts in Music in 2011. Since secondary one, Szeto has studied trombone under Steve Kwan Tsz-lai. He achieved the ATCL Trombone Diploma of the Trinity College, London. He has actively involved in organizing bands and ensembles, as well as music education for several years. Recent years, he also engrossed in band music and trombone ensemble music arrangement. He is currently a full-time brass instructor and conductor.

Szeto has played in several bands and orchestras such as TWGHs Wong Fut Nam College Symphonic Band, Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra, Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts Wind Ensemble, Tom Lee Hong Kong Youth NeoWinds Orchestra, Kansai Gaidai Wind Orchestra in Osaka, Japan and Hong Kong Young Musicians’ Wind Orchestra. He has taken part in many international music events around the world.

In 2005, Szeto established Hong Kong Performers Winds with friends, aiming at promoting wind band music. He is now the Resident Conductor and Principal Trombone of HKPW. In 2013, he started Dreamers Trombone Quartet with friends. In 2020, the quartet expanded and changed its group's name to Dreamers Trombone Ensemble (www.hkpw.org.hk/dreamers).
