Dancing Lines: An Encounter of East and West Calligraphy with Dance at CUHKThe Chinese University of Hong Kong

The performance is the interlocking inspiration of three artists : Loi-Che Chan to write Chinese calligraphy in cursive style, Mark van Praagh to transcribe characters in rapid tempo revealing messages that are hidden in sea and landscapes, and Sarah van Praagh to dance with body movement echoing the lines, forms and rhythms of Loi-Che's and Mark' calligraphies. After the performance, audiences can look for their favourite poems, dance with friends and take photos with the 1,000 meter long calligraphy
