One lonely night, Geppetto, a puppet maker, wishes for a son and the Blue Fairy brings his little wooden puppet to life. He calls him Pinocchio. Pinocchio is always getting into trouble and whenever he lies, his nose grows longer. When he goes to The Land of Toys, he starts to misbehave more and more with the tricksters there and they all discover the curse that fools get turned into donkeys! In order to save Pinocchio, Geppetto went to sea but gets swallowed by a whale. Pinocchio throws himself into the ocean to be eaten by the whale too, and once reunited, they hatch a plan to get out of the whale. However, while getting out, Pinocchio is hurt and might die. But the Blue Fairy decides that he has become unselfish and good and turns him into a real boy.
