"Authority made people blind, using any means for the sake of profit."
My first impression was about pain, fear and loss of self-identity. As a female designer, I tended to view “castration” from a soft and private angle. My lighting design captured the psychological feeling from the scenes, highlighting the mood of each scene and the inner struggling of characters with the use of color, shadow and smoke. Besides, “authority” was the key in the script. It was visually represented through the use of light bulb and punch directional light. Light bulb symbolize authority power. When you in the top position, what would be your choice? To get the power, or to leave it away and treat yourself as a “real man”?
