Inspired! Music for the Soul

Deborah, known for her powerful, versatile and emotive vocals, is a familiar presence on the Hong Kong music scene. With an inimitable style that ranges from rock to jazz and everything in between, she has performed around town for several years with her jazz band Syzygy Hong Kong, and is also a published poet and singer/songwriter. This concert debuts her album, Inspired. Featuring Deborah and the creative interpretation of Agnes Q and Soul Sessions, this is sure to be an evening of exciting new music: hopeful, romantic, socially relevant and challenging.

Soul Sessions is a contemporary neo-soul band that mashes soul with hints of funk, jazz, hip-hop, Afro-Latin, gospel and rock. They’ve been performing since 2011 at various music and arts venues and festivals in Hong Kong, and in the city’s top hotels. They also played for several seasons in Macao City of Dreams, and have been on RTHK and DBC Radio. Each member of the band has diverse musical influences, making Soul Sessions an act that’s refreshing and exciting to watch and listen to. Their music is all about positivity – it’s food for the soul.
