Shum Hang-fu is an artist with disability with Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. In 2003, a traffic accident led to the amputation of his left arm, but this marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life. After publishing his autobiographical novel 'If I Were Whole Again' in 2018, he pursued professional training in the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre's 'One-Man Show Masterclass'. In 2020, he created and performed the solo play 'The Lost Understanding' based on his personal experiences. In 2023, he was invited as a guest presenter at the The 31st Hong Kong Drama Awards Presentation Ceremony, and in 2024, he became the playwright for the trial Drama of 'Choices'.
Shum is also a violinist with the Hong Kong Enharmonica and the host of RTHK's program 'Inclusive HK'. Through various opportunities, he aims to bridge gaps between different members of society and actively contribute to inclusivity for both disabled and able-bodied individuals.
