Toolbox International Creative Academy (TICA), organised by Toolbox Percussion in support of the University of Oklahoma (U.S), will take place in Hong Kong between 6 to 12 January 2020. TICA hosts percussion, string practising musicians and composers worldwide to take part in the week-long festival to receive coaching from TICA teaching artists, creative session with composers, ensemble coaching sessions, score readings and masterclasses. An assortment of programmes aims to provide professional apprenticeship opportunity through specifically focused area of studies and learning occasions with industry professionals. We hope TICA achieve robust incubation and professional furtherance for practising musicians.
【The 2nd TICA Opening Concert】
Echoing its major tone for innovative performative techniques for percussion and string, the 2nd TICA Opening Concert will unveil the week of engrossing academy programmes by having renowned musicians playing strings and percussion classics of sophistication and whimsy, as well as premiering the three shortlisted new compositional attempts from the Toolbox Percussion International Composition Competition 2019 (TPICC 2019).

TICA Gala Concert announce with thrill that Third Coast Percussion, the Grammy Award-winning quartet of classically-trained percussionists hailing from the great city of Chicago will be joining us as performance guest. The award-winning troupe never fails to impress! For fifteen years, the ensemble has created exciting and unexpected performances that constantly redefine the classical music experience. Third Coast Percussion maintains a busy tour schedule, with past performances in 33 of the 50 states plus international tour dates on 4 continents.
