Despite the ongoing urban planning, the story of a district can always be preserved in literature. Starting from 市 famous poems written back in the 50s, the facets of North Point at different times were since recorded. Even celebrated Hong Kong novelist Liu Yichang had reviewed the abnormalities at the 1967 riots in one of his novels. North Point was recognized as the major location where the history was composed. More young writers like Ong Yi Hing, wrote about his childhood memories and the changes of the district overtime.
