Luk Wai Chun Vincent

Dr. Luk is currently the council member of Hong Kong Composers' Guild and the member of Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong. He also teaches at the Saint Francis University, and was the visiting scholar at University of South Florida. His works were featured at various international music festivals in Serbia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Canada and USA. He has won in different composition competitions from USA, Thailand and Hong Kong. He is the awardee of the Gold Prize in Ensemble of mixed instruments Category at 2024 The Third "Dunhuang Award" Chinese Chamber Music and Solo New Works Exhibition and Evaluation Event, the 22nd Best Young Composer's Serious Composition of CASH Golden Sail Music Awards, the Gold Prize in Combination of Musical Instruments of the Same Category at 2021 Dunhuang Award for Chinese Chamber Music, the David Gwilt Composition Prize and Audience Prize in 2018, Silver Award in Dunhuang Award for New Works for Pipa Solo in 2017. Dr. Luk obtained his Doctor of Music degree in composition at The Chinese University of Hong Kong under Professor Wendy Wan-ki Lee. He is also the recipient of Music Scholarship (Local Studies) from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund.
