Jack Wong

Jack is a pianist from Hong Kong and is currently studying at St Stephen’s College. He started to play the piano at the age of four and is studying piano at GMC Music under Gary Wong. He has shown notable performance in exams and competitions. Jack has attained the LTCL Diploma with distinction in Piano Performance and the ABRSM Grade Eight certificate in Violin Performance. Jack was the first runner-up of the Hong Kong Children & Youth Piano Contest 2021 and the finalist of the 2nd Hong Kong Open Music Competition.

In 2018, Jack collaborated with the Polish symphony orchestra- Filharmonia Śląska im. Henryka Mikołaja Góreckiego. He performed in the Shinagawa General Citizen Hall “Curian” in Tokyo, playing Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, KV. 453 by Mozart. Desirable experiences as this have boosted his passion and desire to proceed as a professional musician. With the support from his family and peers, Jack wants to pursue music performance in college.

Aside from playing the piano, Jack acquires different experiences in orchestral and choral ensembles.

Jack is the former concertmaster of the College Orchestra, a former violist of the College String Chamber, principal student conductor of the College Orchestra and an active organist at the Hong Kong St. Philip's Church. As a chorister, he is a baritone of the College Choir and the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Collegium Musicum Sacrum.
