Louis Siu

Louis Siu is the founder and artistic director of Toolbox Percussion. In 2020, he was appointed as curator of The Classical: NEXT 2020 Opening, entitled Hong Kong / TAKEOFF, presented by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He is an alumni representative of the Asian Cultural Council (HK) Foundation. Siu received his music education at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Chinese University of Hong Kong and graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He further his graduate study at Central Saint Martins’S Arts and Cultural Enterprise programme. Alongside his many orchestral presences as professional percussionist including formerly engagement as the principal percussionist of the Macao Orchestra, he was also an ExxonMobil New Vision Artist at the 40th Hong Kong Arts Festival and a Teaching Artist at the San Francisco Symphony. Currently a part-time instructor at the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
