Music and Dance Entwine: A Revival of The Classics
Symphonic music and rhyme and graceful dance movements both carry a plethora of emotions:
some rich, some subtle, others elegant, or otherwise popular.
A reinvention of Classics with Classics, L’Amour Immortel, Lady White of West Lake, Storm
Clouds, Chinese Hero: A Lone Exile, and many more works of dance have been given a new
lease of life: rescored with orchestral accompaniment, to be presented live in performance, and
complemented by image projections. These innovative elements shall instil new vitality into
said works and enrich their artistic conception to tug even further at our emotional heartstrings.
Through the seamless interweaving of dance, music, and image, Hong Kong Dance Company’s
inceptive collaboration with the newfound local orchestra, Inheritage Philharmonic, shall allow
us all to relive the fragments of our memories and feel the vibrations in the air to embrace the
present together.
