Technical Arts Festival 2022 - ShowcasesThe Hong Kong Association of Theatre Technicians & Scenographers

6 groups of 14 technical arts artists work together to showcase their creative achievements. Curators Lawrence Lee, Allan Tsui and consultants Yuri Ng, Orlean Lai and Yuen Cheuk Wa conducted a series of workshops and experimental exchanges with these technical arts artists to develop a platform for utilization and the repositioning of technical arts and compile new works rooted in technical arts.

- Chan Wing Kit x Gene Ma "Five Guys"
Just to process, to feel the vibration of your energy through the 5 senses and 5 elements, what resonates with you to make your next move by give and take to form the Holographic Moment.

- Teresa Hung x Teresa Wong "Artificial Nature"
Using artificial and unnatural elements to create a nature that already existed, to re-think the meaning of life pursuit.

- Sunfool Lau x Adrian Yeung"Sell Light"
Sell Light is not just a performance but an experiment. When a Light Cue is being transformed into NFT, it lives forever in the virtual world. How much is a moment in theatre worth? There’s never a full stop for experiment, only question marks.


【Showcase 2 : Imagine Nothing Playground x Making Comments x Message】

- Kristopher Chan x Simpson Chan x Dan Fong "Imagine Nothing Playground"
Three "Otaku" used self-made "toys" with added imagination, transforming them into a "performance" on stage, creating an experimental effect beyond one's imagination.

- Joseph Chan x Charlie Luciano "Making Comments"
The dense collection of various body parts constitutes wholly beauty, reminding us repeatedly to appreciate our own interests as well as those of others. When you are looking at me, I am looking at you too.

- Sunny Chan x Yeung Tsz Yan x Melody Yuen "Message"
For nothing else, and no reason needed, we invite you to leave a message to this city at this moment. What do you want to tell her? "Please leave your message after the beep".

No auditorium in the theatre. Audience need to walk around according to the instruction from our staff.
Audience are recommended to have casual dressing during the show.
