Hong Kong Brass Band

The Hong Kong Brass Band was founded in 2023 by Mr. Lai Tak Chun, the founding music director. Setting itself apart from other arts organizations, the band is dedicated to promoting the unique style of British brass band music and introducing new elements to attract a wider audience.To this day, three concerts have been held, including the first concert "This Is Our Brass Band", "Earthrise", and the 1st anniversary concert "Dragon." The band pursues excellence, striving to deliver high-quality performances to a wide audience.In addition to organizing concerts, the band actively fulfils its social responsibility by hosting and participating in
community cultural activities, such as open rehearsals and the Hong Kong Brass Competition 2024. This effort aims to strengthen community cohesion, provide citizens with diverse musical experiences, and convey positive messages and values through music while creating varied opportunities for local musicians.The stable development of the Hong Kong Brass Band has gathered a group of outstanding musicians, laying a solid foundation for future participation in international competitions and cultural exchange activities. The band has clear and ambitious goals for the future, aiming to promote brass music culture in other regions of Asia, connect different areas, and collectively advance the development of the brass music scene, opening up various opportunities for the brass community in Hong Kong. In July 2024, the Hong Kong Brass Band has been invited to participate in the New Zealand National Brass Band
Championships 2024, where the band and its members achieved excellent results in solo, small group, marching, and brass band competitions.
