Lewis, Lau Yin To

Lewis Lau (b.1988) was born in Hong Kong and currently lives and works in London. He graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Department of Fine Arts (BA in 2010 and MFA in 2012).

Lewis enjoys wandering through the city and focuses on capturing fleeting moments in life, sensitively capturing the subtle and complex relationship between loneliness and the city. He uses symbolic elements from the urban space to express his experience of city life in his oil paintings. Although the subject matter of Lewis's work has remained constant in recent years, his painting style has changed with his changing perspective, life experiences, events, and emotions.

Lewis's works have been exhibited at major art fairs and galleries in Hong Kong, including Gallery EXIT and Osage Gallery, as well as Art Basel in Hong Kong. His works have been collected by numerous private collectors, shopping malls, and institutions.
