Chan Hing Wai, Cedric

Chan Hing Wai, Cedric has been selected as a representative of the Elite Athletes from the Hong Kong Sports Institute for 10 consecutive years.

In 2013, Cedric and his partner represented Hong Kong at the Asian Indoor Games in South Korea, where he won the first gold medal of major games in the history of Hong Kong Dancesport. He has then achieved outstanding results in various Asian and World Open Championships in different categories all those years and breaking several Hong Kong records.

In addition to establishing dance academy in the early years and nurturing numerous young athletes to represent the Hong Kong team, Cedric has also gained recognition internationally.

In recent years, he is dedicated to collaborating closely with professionals in movement and therapy which they have developed systematic tutorials and specialized anatomy books for Latin dancing, incorporating training models based on human biomechanics and scientific movement into the dance education system.

Currently, he is gradually crossing disciplines to assist professional dancers in different fields through movement corrective and training, helping them alleviate physical discomfort and limitations, making contributions to society.
