Overview

Entrenched in architectural conservation principles and practices, the multimedia exhibition & site-specific music performance series "Some Shreds: Here Means Something" comes into being; employing cultural investigation, as cadre of a research, to document four shops ( somewhat obliterated as heritage gems ) in Sheung Wan, as well as to narrate the neighbouring yet distinct landscape of Sai Ying Pun. Amidst the stillness and within the confines of four walls, HERE, we proffer an urban MEANdering to flare the invaluable SOMETHING that lies within.

If history is to be likened to a deadlock arcade; its origins and authenticity untraceable, and memorabilia blotted out, one could only find a space opened violently up by the contest between what has been and what is now.

This is a theatre-cum-exhibition where music sheds lights on a deadlock arcade. Performers and audiences, constitution of a temporary communion, amass to walk a tapestry of history, taking along with them varied regard for our vernacular existence.
