Iana Salenko

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, lana Salenko received ballet training at Vadim Pisarev's school in
Donetsk. Salenko became a soloist at Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre after her graduation in 2000. In 2002, she moved to Kyiv Ballet as a principal dancer. She joined Berlin State Ballet as a demi-soloist in 2005 and became a soloist the following year. After dancing the title role in Cinderella, lana became a principal dancer in 2007. In 2013, she made her Royal Ballet debut in Don Quixote and became a regular guest with the company. Salenko has also performed in galas and companies in Croatia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Russia and Taiwan.
