LAM, Lo

LAM, Lo is an award-winning writer/director who works in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Lo created more than 20 digital commercials in Taiwan before she acquired an MFA in Film & TV Production at the University of Southern California. Her short film Al Niente was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the 60th Golden Horse Awards (Taiwan), won the Best International Short at the 32nd St. Louis International Film Festival (U.S.A.), the Audience Award and Best Screenplay at the 17th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival (Hong Kong), and was selected by the 20th Hollyshorts (U.S.A.), the 45th Golden Harvest Awards (Taiwan), the 12th Singapore Chinese Film Festival (Singapore), the 16th Austin Asian American Film Festival (U.S.A.) and Diversity in Cannes Showcase 2024 (U.S.A./ France).

Lo's films demonstrate her voice as a woman straddling the divide between East and West. She explores the intricacies of life, never shying away from the joy in sorrow or humor in tragedy.
