Wong Man Kit, Jake

Jake Wong obtained his bachelor's degree from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020. His inspirations come from personal emotions, expressing the inner emotions in a rational way, while attempting to explore a balance point between the two. He focuses on the meticulousness and subtlety of the painting surface and uses various painting techniques, simple composition and colours to abstractly expose the state of various human emotions, then further onwards to explore the relationships between him and his painting creation. He has collaborated with local galleries and art spaces to hold joint exhibitions, such as 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, Mooroom, Openground, and 1a space.
