Overview

Several strange events have been unfolding in England. The weather has turned particularly severe, leading to devastating crop failures.

Everyone claims foxes are behind this mischief! "I did it. And I’m proud of it." Legend has it that foxes possess long, sharp teeth and claws so fierce they can disembowel humans. These troublemakers are said to cause sudden downpours or scorch crops under the burning sun. Even more terrifying, foxes can slip into people's dreams while they are sleeping, turning hard working folks lazy.

Then, William the Foxfinder arrives at Samuel and Judith's farm. William claims that their son Daniel's death, their missing cat, Samuel's illness, and the farm's poor harvest are caused by the wicked fox!

But... is that so?

Chung Ying Theatre Company once again collaborates with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to provide professional production support for the HKAPA MFA Directing Graduate Thesis Project, enabling emerging directors to showcase their talents. Inspired by Dawn King's play "Foxfinder", graduating directing student James Xu works with a group of actors to devise "Foxfinder, or not", aiming to rediscover childhood innocence in a suppressed world.
