Felix Tham

Felix Tham is a versatile violinist, lawyer, educator, entrepreneur, and music events producer and curator. Starting the violin at the age of five, he soon after began training under the tutelage of violin pedagogue Professor Lin Yaoji of the Central Conservatory of Music, and later with Adrian Adlam of Winchester College. Acclaimed for his fearless playing style, powerful singing violin tone and improvisational virtuosity, he has garnered numerous accolades in various local competitions, representing Hong Kong at prestigious international festivals such as the Tochigi Music Festival in Japan, the Aberdeen Music Festival in the UK, and the Pan Pacific Music Festival in Australia.

As an active performer, Felix has graced stages across the globe, appearing as a soloist with the Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, and the China Film Philharmonic Orchestra. His European tours have seen him perform extensively as a soloist and chamber musician, with invitations to perform at iconic venues such as the Royal Library at Windsor Castle and the Government House in Hong Kong for distinguished audiences, including Queen Elizabeth II, David Wilson, Chris Patten, and Carrie Lam. In recent years, Felix has been pushing the boundaries of the violin by collaborating with artists from different genres, from classical to indie, pop, rock, metal, gypsy, jazz, funk, tango, and folk music, building an exciting and eclectic portfolio of performances.

Beyond the stage, Felix is the co-founder of the Cedar Education Group, a leading holistic and early childhood institution. With a commitment to using music as a cornerstone, the institution seeks to provide children with a unique educational experience full of infinite possibilities, and is a driving force in fostering the next generation of musicians and creative thinkers.
