The scientific concepts of three-dimensional space and one-dimensional time have long inspired the art world, from Marcel Duchamp's Nude Descending a Staircase (No. 2) and Eadweard Muybridge's The Horse in Motion to the wormhole journeys of Interstellar. In theatre, how does "dimension" take shape?
Dimension Flâneur disrupts time and space through real-time visual manipulation and generative sound, using non-linear computation to create shifting motion and sonic landscapes. As moving bodies and notes traverse temporal fractures, the audience is immersed in a fluid, multidimensional experience.
Expanding on their research into dimensional hybridity, Keith Lam, co-founder of Dimension Plus, and media artist Seth Hon collaborate with an eclectic lineup — including acclaimed pop music video directors Kwokin and Kelly Cheuk, composer Lam Fung, and music producer Lim Giong. Alongside live performers and musicians, they construct a stage where time bends and space folds into a transcendent spectacle.
