Hong Kong Arts Month is around the corner. This year, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre ( JCCAC ) is very excited to be part of it as a cultural partner of Art Basel again, with guest curator Kobe Ko for the booth and Parallel Exhibition- On-site. We will showcase artworks co-created by six of our talented resident artists in CP Booth. But before that rendezvous, we would like to tantalise your artistic taste buds by inviting you to visit our JCCAC ABHK 2025 Parallel Exhibition - On-site & Mini Collectables at JCCAC from 14-30 March 2025.
JCCAC ABHK 2025 Parallel Exhibition - On-site in collaboration with guest curator Kobe Ko. The exhibition is themed on the everyday landscape of JCCAC as an "art factory" and showcases the works of 11 artists currently with a studio there or had one in the past. They include Keith LAM Yan Kit @Dimension Plus, Seth HON Ka Chun @Dimension Plus, Giraffe LEUNG Lok Hei, SHUM Kwan Yi, Mindy LUI Yan Yi, Cami HUI Wan Yu, Dave HO Lok Chung, Avery LAU Hong Lam, CHEUNG Tsz Ki, TSE Chun Sing, and Jay LAU Ka Chun. The works in the exhibition represent a wide range of art practices - including painting, ink, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media and new media - to demonstrate the rich diversity of JCCAC as a unique vertical arts village and artist incubator in Hong Kong.
This headline exhibition presents a mélange of creative approaches by the artists. There are recent and completely new works, new series borne out of revisits to past works and ideas, and co-creations by artists engaging in artistic dialogue with each other. This kind of sometimes solo, sometimes collaborative exchange reflects the ecology of JCCAC, a place where artists and creative discussions occur naturally and organically, and through this exhibition we hope to share a slice of the landscape that exists in this art factory.
We are delighted to invite guest curator Kobe Ko as moderator with participated artists of On-site, to share their creation path and curation in different perspectives, leading the audience to the mysterious yet marvelous arts world.
