The 7th Hong Kong International Piano Competition is far more than "just a competition". It is an opportunity to present music making of the highest quality by the carefully chosen candidates, by several of the members of jury themselves and by invited artists.

MUSIC MAKING BY THE CANDIDATES THEMSELVES:
As part of the competition itself there will be:
· 15 full piano recitals by the semifinalists with the content freely chosen by the semifinalists themselves
· 6 Chamber music recitals for piano and strings by the six finalists with the content chosen by the finalist themselves
· 6 Piano concertos by the six finalists, with the concertos chosen from a set list
