Haohan Yu

Born in Shandong, China, tenor Yu Haohan graduated top of his class from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and was exempted from the entrance exam to its master's program. In 2024–2025, he had an exchange year at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under renowned tenor Prof. Rainer Trost. Later, he was accepted into the university's highly regarded master's program in opera, where he continues his training with conductor Prof. Christoph Meier.

Yu has achieved distinction in several international competitions, including the Bronze Prize at the 14th China Music Golden Bell Award (Beijing selection), Third Prize at the Vienna International Mozart Competition, and First Prize at the OPUS ARTIS Paris International Vocal Competition.

On stage, he has performed key operatic roles including Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), and Tamino (Die Zauberflöte). Yu continues to establish himself as a promising young talent on the world operatic stage.
