Chu Ka Yim Esther

Curator | Painter | Calligrapher | Performer
Born in Hong Kong, Esther holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours), a Diploma in Chinese Ink Painting, and has undertaken studies in Interior Design. She is a certified National-Level Calligraphy Trainer.

In recent years, she has been invited to participate in numerous exhibitions and exchange events organized by various institutions, including several cross-strait joint exhibitions. For many years, she has curated exhibitions under the theme "The Joy of Life found in Chinese Ink & Brush": mounting solo exhibitions in both 2019 and 2021, followed by group exhibitions featuring her students' work in 2023 and 2024. She has also participated in INK ASIA (the International Ink Art Fair) in both 2023 and 2024.
In 2020, she founded "Treasure Keepers Studio" (留寶齋) as an online platform dedicated to providing information on Chinese painting and calligraphy for Hong Kong's art community.

Chu currently serves as the Chairperson of the Brilliant Black Art Association. She is engaged as an instructor in Chinese calligraphy and ink painting by multiple institutions while actively participating in art promotion initiatives and organizing outreach activities for community institutions. Her works have garnered awards multiple times in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and elsewhere, and are held in the collections of numerous private collectors.
