With a burst of four intoxicating albums in the early 00s, downy had earned their place among hardcore music fans around the world.

Like sacred knowledge, downy's music is widely circulated among bulletin boards, despite the band's prolonged hiatus.

With irregular rhythms and intricate juxtapositions of familiar instruments and stranger textures, downy crafts encompassing soundscapes that is a new experience upon every listen.

Years of silence appears to have only added to the band's storied past, leading up to their return in 2013 to full activity.

In September 2025, downy takes their latest and eighth album to Hong Kong, in a special one band live show presented by Infree Records and Blank Joy.
