簡介

Following the resounding success of our inaugural concert with Ken Cowan, the Academy of Music, HKBU is proud to present internationally acclaimed organist Jonathan Moyer for the next chapter in our series.

In his recital, "A Musical Journey Around the World", Dr. Moyer masterfully demonstrates the organ's astonishing versatility. This captivating programme, focused on music from the era of J.S. Bach and before, invites you to experience the instrument's full spectrum of colours and power through a repertoire that traverses continents, all while anchored in the brilliance of the Baroque.

The artist, Jonathan William Moyer, serves as the David S. Boe Associate Professor of Organ and Chair of the Organ Department at the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Hailed by The Baltimore Sun as "ever-expressive, stylish, and riveting," he has performed on some of the world's most legendary stages, from St. Sulpice in Paris to venues across the United States, Europe, and Japan. His distinguished career also includes collaborations with renowned ensembles such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
