The workshop begins with the core concept of "Feeling Tone." Module 2: Deconstructing Automatic Reactions – Practical Application of Predictive Processing Theory

Professor Williams will guide you to understand the brain's "Predictive Processing" mechanism. This revolutionary theory posits that the brain is not a passive receiver of information, but constantly predicts what will happen next based on past experience. It's only when actual input doesn't match the prediction ("prediction error") that the brain updates its model. In this module, you will learn to:
