The Academy of Music, HKBU is proud to feature the distinguished organist, Shen Fanxiu. As an Associate Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, she is a leading authority in the research, teaching, and performance of Baroque music and early Western keyboard instruments in China.
A celebrated artist and scholar, Professor Shen honed her craft at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. There, she was awarded a Master's degree in Harpsichord under the tutelage of the renowned Professor Gordon Murray and further distinguished herself as the only student from Mainland China to study with organ master Rudolf Scholz.
