黃嘉䤭

Rooted in a deep devotion to the sacred music tradition, Olga Wong is an organist, pianist, and church musician whose artistic life encompasses concert performance, pedagogy, and liturgical leadership.

Olga completed her undergraduate studies in Hong Kong, studying piano with Sze-Yau Chan before pursuing advanced musical training in the United States. She was awarded a full scholarship and a full-time graduate assistantship at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she earned the Master of Music degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Parr. During this period she served as graduate assistant and later staff accompanist. Her professional engagements included opera productions, orchestral collaborations, and numerous vocal and instrumental performances, cultivated both artistic versatility and a refined sensitivity to ensemble performance.

While her early training centered on the piano, a growing fascination with the pipe organ gradually drew her towards pursuing a degree. She undertook formal organ studies and earned a second Master of Music in Organ Performance at the University of Houston under Daryl Robinson, later continuing advanced study with Stefan Engels at Southern Methodist University. Alongside her academic training, she developed a vocation as a church musician, serving as Principal Organist at St. Martha Catholic Church, Organ Scholar at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Assistant Organist at Christ the King Catholic Church, and later Director of Sacred Music at Holy Trinity Seminary.

Her artistry has been recognized through several competitions, including First Prize in the William C. (Bill) Hall Organ Competition and Third Prize in the TMEA Young Artist Competition for Piano. Deeply committed to the cultivation of future organists, Wong has served as faculty for the 2024 Summer Organ Academy organized by the American Guild of Organists Hong Kong Chapter and the for Pipe Organ Encounter (POE) 2025 hosted by the Houston Chapter.
