Dr. Khin Yee Lo

Dr. Khin Yee Lo has lived, performed and taught in four continents. She received a Doctorate degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, MMus in performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied both violin and piano, and BA (Hons) in music with First Class Honours from Bath Spa University. She currently holds a teaching appointment in the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Education University of Hong Kong. Her previous academic appointments were at the London College of Music, University of West London (HK campus), Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium of Music and Young Conservatorium (Australia), and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (USA).

Dr. Lo has performed as soloist, accompanist, chamber and orchestra musician. She has played in numerous orchestras under the baton of distinguished conductors, including Ilya Musin, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Roger Norrington, Richard Hickox, Lutz Köhler, and Christopher Warren-Green, giving regular performances at venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Purcell Room, Barbican Centre, and St. John Smith's Square. Throughout her teaching career, she has worked extensively with children of all levels in schools, including talented musicians at the internationally acclaimed Wells Cathedral School and The Purcell School of Music, as well as children from culturally disadvantaged areas in England and the USA. She also serves on international music examination boards such as the Australian Music Examinations Board and London College of Music Examinations.
