Rianne Lau

Rianne Cheuk-ying Lau is an operatic soprano with an international career and has appeared in many operas and concerts. She has performed Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow, Giorgetta in Il Tabarro, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Musikverein Vienna, Sandrina, the title role of La Finta Giardiniera, Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Bubikopf in Der Kaiser von Atlantis, First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Frasquita in Carmen, and Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw. Lau also performed in musical theatre productions as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and Red Queen in Through The Looking Glass. Lau was awarded in many competitions including The Birmingham International Music Competition, Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival, OSAKA International Music Competition and among others. Lau obtained her Master's of Music in Opera Performance at the University of South Carolina and her postgraduate study with scholarships in San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
