Suen Tsam Yuet, Sammi is currently a Year three student studying in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Arts and Culture (Music). She began studying the French horn at a young age under the guidance of teacher Ms Sally Ng and has also learned from Andrej Zust and Supreeti. Since her early school years, she has actively participated in various wind ensembles both inside and outside of school, accumulating over 10 years of experience in ensemble performances. She is currently a French horn player for the Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonia and Kinderland Wind Band.
Sammi has actively engaged in numerous indoor and outdoor performances and competitions, including the Inter-School Music Festival and the Hong Kong Youth Arts Festival. She has also performed and competed in countries such as Taiwan, South Korea, Australia, the Netherlands, and Japan. Notable achievements include winning second place in the French horn quartet at the 71st Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and first place at the 2021 International Arts Festival Music Competition. She also secured first place in the horn duet category at the Hong Kong Outstanding Musicians Competition.
In terms of conducting, Sammi has received guidance from conductor Mr. Victor Tam and Ms. Synthia Ko, serving as a student conductor for the Symphonic Band of the Education University of Hong Kong, marking the beginning of her conducting career.
