Mak Longman

Mak Longman is a well-established clarinetist, bassoonist and composer in Hong Kong, who has been serving the industry since his college time. Mak has served different orchestra in Hong Kong as the principal clarinetist and bassoonist who has been involved in not only local, but also some foreign performances and business shows. Mak also serves as a professional tutor since 2013.

Mak has also achieved success in composition, with works ranging from instrumental solos to orchestral pieces. A representative work is the orchestral piece "Tera Nostra," performed in 2019 by the ensemble "Tea Capriccio" and Scintilla Orchestra.

In recent years, Mak has tried his hand at conducting. He currently serves as the conductor of the Sound Ideas Ensemble. In November 2022, he performed as a conductor, soloist, and musician in a concert, achieving excellent results.
