French conductor and composer Philippe Forget is currently Artistic Director of the Labeaume Festival of Music and Musical Director of Alès Sinfonia, Choeur d'Oratorio de Lyon and Les Voix en Aparté Chamber Choir. For Opéra National de Lyon he has conducted The Tales of Hoffmann, The Damnation of Faust, L'Enfant et les Sortilèges and operas by Copland, Respighi, Blacher and Glass. Since 2020, he has been artistically associated with the Opéra de Limoges. His international engagements include the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Lamoureux, Greek National Opera Athens, City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, Hudson Valley Philharmonic and São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra. In France he regularly conducts the state orchestras of Lyon, Lorraine, Bretagne, Auvergne and Pays de la Loire. Philippe Forget has been featured as both conductor and composer at festivals in Verbier, Edinburgh, Ramsgate, Hong Kong, Florence and Greece and with New Athenaeum Theatre ( Glasgow ), Beacon Theatre ( New York ), Théâtre du Châtelet, Studio Opéra Bastille and Les Francofolies ( La Rochelle ). He has collaborated with Monica Bellucci, Jane Birkin, Iggy Pop and Oxmo Puccino, among others. In 2021 he was honoured with the Knight of Order of the Arts and Letters by the French Republic.
