Hong Kong Youth Jazz Collective 2022-2023 - Annual ConcertCount-in Music Ltd.

Since 2019, Count-in Music Limited has been organizing the Hong Kong Youth Jazz Collective ( HKYJC ) program every year. It is a jazz educational program offering systematic jazz training for local young musicians. The program envisions supporting the development of the Hong Kong jazz scene. By the end of the program, an annual concert will be held to share students’ learning outcomes.

The program has approached its fourth-year mark. We have recruited a group of young passionate jazz students, together with a group of experienced musicians as tutors, including Lui Ngao-yuen, Siu Hin Chuen, Joyce Cheung, Chan YH Eason, Almond Yeung and Samuel Chan to share theoretical jazz knowledge and practical improvisation and performance skills.

This coming April, HKYJC students will finally share their achievements on stage. Students from both beginner class and intermediate class will perform selected rearranged jazz standards and their original compositions on 22 and 23 April. This year HKYJC annual concerts will bring you a dynamic jazz concert experience filled with energy and surprises.

- Concert duration is approximately 2 hours with an intermission.
- Recommended for ages 6 and above.
- Audience is strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers will only be admitted at a suitable break.
- The presenter reserves the right to change the programme, artists and seating arrangement should unavoidable circumstances make it necessary.
