French May Arts Festival 2023: You and You and You and Me and You and Us and You...

Overview

After a first workshop led remotely from Paris in 2022 with dancers from Hong Kong, Christian Rizzo embarks on a three-week residency at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts this year. This serves as an opportunity for the choreographer to continue the dialogue that started last year about the Hong Kong choreographic scene.

During these three weeks, Rizzo proposes a choreographic creation process echoing to Sophie Laly’s video work. They invite and accompany local dancers in an individual and collective creative research, which culminates in a final public sharing that fuses visual art and choreographic elements.
