Every person in this world is an individual universe: each has our own thoughts, actions and timeline. And the interaction between people, becomes the connection of two separated cosmos. It is possible that a new idea, a new world, forming between the sparkle of collision; Else, the intersecting curve lines pass by each other; Or either one being consumed and absorb, losing the being of itself.
The collision of stars is a reflection of human interaction. While retaining one self’s is no longer an easy topic in this time and day, how do we balance between pursuiting “self improvement” while remaining ourselves? For this exhibition, Autonom. showcase the new works from 5 emerging young artists: Chityan Cheng, Alan Cheung, Avery Lau, May Lio and Philip Mak. Via their prints and paintings, the artists share their process of self appreception and clarification. How did they struggle through different opinions during their path of creativity, for becoming a more completed self in their artistic development.
