Change is the only constant
Repetitive patterns and regular routines in everyday life might seem monotonous and boring. How can we find the joy out of this repetitive life?
“Repetition” and “change” are two contrasting ideas, but they complement each other like the Yin and Yang. How can we create changes in “repetitions”? Can we find certain routines in a series of changes?
In this new work, Hong Kong independent choreographer Blue Ka-wing substitutes different variables of “music” and “dance” into her distinctive choreographer’s performing formula, exploring boundaries of performance and discovering changes and surprises in repetitions.
