The Water Supplies Department (WSD) will organize the Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works Open Day on 18 and 19 November 2023 (Saturday and Sunday). Members of the public can join guided tours led by WSD staff to visit the water treatment facilities to understand the water treatment process as well as the scientific knowledge related to water treatment. A thematic exhibition will be set up to showcase WSD’s work and a number of development projects in recent years which ensure that our water supply services can respond to social development and provide more efficient and reliable water supply services.
- Prior online registration is required. Each applicant may receive a maximum of four tickets free of charge.
- Each email can be used once only.
- The online registration system will accept applications from 13 October 10am to 26 October 6pm.
- Successful applicants will receive e-tickets through email on or before 4 November.
- The visit is available in different time slots for registration. Each session of visit lasts about 1 hour.
- If there is oversubscription, selection will be made by computer balloting.
- Free shuttle service to Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works will be provided to visitors on event days.
- For safety consideration, participants of guided tours must be aged 8 or above. Children aged 12 or below must be accompanied by an adult for admission to the water treatment works.
- WSD will take photos and videos for participants during the event. The photos and videos would be used for the purpose of promotion and publicity in the future.
