Local emerging circus artists who participated in"New Boom in Circus" have gone on to create unique performances. This year, Tai Kwun continues to create a more exciting and creative performance space, inviting artists who are interested in incorporating circus elements or theatre first-timer to go beyond traditional frameworks. In Tai Kwun's indoor venue, their works demonstrate the cross-disciplinary and diverse nature of contemporary circus.
The two groups of performers include young Hong Kong circus artist Jason Lee and Taiwanese juggler and dancer Tito Hung, who met at Ting-koo-ki Mad Skills Battle last year. They connected instantly and aim to share the beauty of collaboration through juggling. Theatre Actress Ko Ki Yan, who has recently ventured into puppet theatre, brings her rich theatrical experience to explore the relationship between the self and the body through puppetry, inviting the audience to take on a theatrical journey with her.
Planet B
If there were another Earth, what would it be like?
Planet B is a new original puppet theatre created and performed by Ko Ki Yan,re- imagining the body as a complex, alien planet. Using stage effects, her body is divided and combined to create a landscape for puppets to traverse, exploring beauty and tenderness.

On the Side of the Road
"Doing what you love, does not mean you will always find joy in it."
Two jugglers, from Hong Kong and Taiwan, with similar background, struggle in the city. By chance, they encounter each other and sit by the roadside, sharing their stories.
When music is considered a language of higher dimensions, juggling becomes a vessel for emotions that cannot be conveyed by words. Do our connections with others rely solely on words? Are there moments when a single glance or movement can resonate deeply within us?
In juggling, mistakes and successes intertwine. Countless practices and failures lead to fleeting triumphs. After a fall, we can choose to give up or awkwardly gather the fragments of life, continuing to strive simply to live well."We are not as perfect as we seem; those imperfections are merely hidden away. We are, after all, just human." Through the performance, they explore life, dreams, and resistance, inviting audience to understand the unspoken emotions behind juggling and to experience those profound moments that touch the heart beyond language.
