Amicis Sinfonia welcomes the new season with Spring Concert 2025, a program that brings together sweeping orchestral works and intimate chamber performances.
Our journey begins with Sibelius' "En Saga," a vivid tone poem filled with mystery and Nordic folklore, followed by the grand and majestic Prelude to Wagner’s "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg." These orchestral works set the stage for an evening of musical storytelling, where each piece paints a unique scene.
Beyond the orchestra, chamber ensembles formed by members of Amicis Sinfonia showcase their artistry in a diverse selection of works. From the folk-infused warmth of Dvořák's "American" Quartet to the rich brass harmonies of Ewald’s quintet, these performances bring a more personal, expressive side of music to the stage.
This concert is a celebration of music's ability to tell tales—sometimes bold and dramatic, sometimes delicate and introspective. Whether in the grandeur of the orchestra or the intimacy of chamber music, these melodies invite you to listen, imagine, and be transported.
