Guided by inclusive artist Clayton Lo, children will use their hands to explore a variety of textures, shapes, and materials, creating unique three-dimensional artworks. Free from the limits of sight, each child embarks on a sensory adventure, discovering endless creative possibilities as they let their imagination grow through touch.
Session 1: Tactile Creators in the Dark – Imagination & Collaboration
In a safe and encouraging environment, children will be gently blindfolded and create their own clay art using only their sense of touch and imagination. Supported by experienced teachers and caring assistants, kids will take part in specially designed games to nurture focus, confidence, and creativity. After making their individual pieces, everyone will work together to assemble a surprising, collaborative artwork—sharing the excitement of teamwork and collective creation.
Session 2: Young Curators – Exploring Space & Exhibiting Art
Children will step beyond the classroom to visit exhibition spaces at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. With guidance from their teachers, they will observe and discuss how to plan and display their art, just like real young curators. They’ll also try “sensory navigation,” simulating the experience of exploring with limited sight—using their whole bodies to discover space and connection. Finally, children will help set up their own group exhibition, proudly sharing their growth and creative achievements.
