ErGao

ErGao (Qiwo He), dancer, choreographer, director, born in Canton China, multi-media dancer/choreographer whose work uses dance, film, installation and other creative strategies, graduated from APA, Hongkong with full scholarship. His productions continuously see the body as the primary medium of work and the site of artistic investigation, using diverse strategies to explore Chinese social and cultural identities, sex, gender and other topics. Youth and migrating life/nostalgia, changing of humanistic landscapes and misplaced artificial landscape，is a recent focus of Ergao.

ErGao founded Ergao Dance Production Group in 2007, and accepted multiple commissions from different arts organizations and art festivals, including Ibsen International (Norway), Fabbrica Europa(Italy), YAP Festival(China) , Hong Kong Jumping Frames Dance Film Festival, Guangdong Modern Dance Festival, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, DPAC Dance Company (Malaysia), Guangdong Times Museum and other organizations. He was selected as resident artist of Pro Helvetia – Swiss Arts Council in 2019, and resident artist of AIT(Tokyo), Bethel house and Times Museum in 2020. Since 2020, His independent video program "Today's Special" and the "Keyword" interview channel has been organically integrated into different art festivals.
