Born in Rome, Michel Tirabosco is a classically trained musician who has successfully elevated the panpipes to the ranks of the great solo instruments. Since 2025 he has performed on tour with André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra to great international acclaim. He has also performed worldwide as a part of the Michel Tirabosco Trio in the USA, South America and Europe. His solo engagements include the prestigious Myra Hess Concerts in Chicago, a performance for the Grand Duke at Bourglinster Castle in Luxembourg, concerts for the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation in Moscow and a concert at the Mariinsky Theatre with Valery Gergiev. On tour he has performed as guest soloist with the Orchestra of the European Community (in Turkey), the Soloists of Amsterdam ( in Lebanon ), the Philharmonic Orchestras of St. Petersburg and of Volgograd (in Russia), Les Musiciens d'Europe ( in Belgium ) and with I Barocchisti, the String Orchestra of St. Gallen and the Chamber Orchestras of Neuchâtel and Fribourg ( in Switzerland ). In 2007 he was named Golden Talent of the Year by the Rotary Club of France. Michel Tirabosco's outstanding musical journey began at the age of 7 in Geneva. He went on to study the panpipes at the Conservatory Of Music De Genève. He appears on more than fifteen CD recordings as soloist with orchestra and in collaboration with the harpist Chantal Mathieu and Argentine pianist Miguel Ángel Estrella, among others.
